The Composition Library Instruction Program (CLIP) is a portion of the Composition 101 class, taken by freshmen their spring semester. A class led by a librarian in the Interactive Reference Area (IRA) of the library, introduces students to how to locate a book, how to locate articles and citations in general and subject-specific databases and explains how a journal and magazine differ. Students complete a quiz that covers these skills.

Composition faculty who wish to schedule a CLIP session should use the CLIP request form or contact Daniel Harms via email at harmsd@cortland.edu
