COR 101 is a required one credit course specifically designed to facilitate the intellectual and social integration of all incoming freshmen as they make their transition to SUNY Cortland.
COR 101 is designed to help students:
- Understand and negotiate the transition to college
- Learn about SUNY Cortland, and its policies and procedures
- Develop critical thinking and responsible decision-making skills
- Understand and value new viewpoints
- Promote active reading and writing
- Explore interests and develop personal goals for their academic majors
- Live a balanced and healthy lifestyle
- Utilize campus resources and join different activities and organizations
Memorial Library takes part of COR101 by providing an introduction to using the Library Catalog and an understanding of the Library of Congress classification system.
