e-Reserves


Students

SUNY Cortland Faculty may place readings, projects, tests and other documents at the Circulation Desk for limited use.

Electronic reserves are available through the library's Docutek system. Course reserves can be searched by instructor, department, or course name and number.

Note: Access to e-Reserves requires a password, available from the instructor of the course.

Faculty
Materials may be placed on e-Reserve. Please see the instructions for placing materials on reserve.


Reserves, as they are called, are in two formats: Print / Hard Copy / Media Reserves and Electronic Reserves:

Articles and other materials are made available through the web especially for your class.  Your instructor will provide you with the username and password you need to connect to these resources.

Print / Hard Copy / Media Reserves

Materials (books, photocopies, visual and sound recordings) placed on reserve by the instructor that are physically located at the Circulation Desk in the library. Students access these items by checking them out at the Circulation Desk using their SUNY Cortland ID card.

Electronic Reserves

Materials (documents saved as PDF files or full text articles) placed on reserve by the instructor that are available on-line to students through the via link above. Students can access e-reserves 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, from any computer, on campus or off-campus. Frequently used materials do not become mutilated or lost; they are readily available no matter how many students are in the class and can be accessed by more than one student at a time.
