How can I verify that my reserve request has been processed?
You will recieve a notice from the library that your items are available. You will also receive the password that students in your class will need to access the materials. To check on-line, go to the library's home page at http://library.cortland.edu/ , click on "Find Reserves" , and click "find E-Reserves". Select "Instructor" under "Search for", type your last name in the box, and click on "search". This will bring up a list of all items you currently have on reserve.
To check via phone, call the Circulation Desk at (607) 753-2526.
To check in person, go to the Circulation Desk in the library.
How can I view items I've put on E-reserves?
Using the library catalog, you can view a list of all your reserve items, both print/hard copy/media and electronic; you can access E-Reserves from that list.
To view your reserve items using the library catalog:
- Go to the library home page (http://library.cortland.edu/ )
- Click on "Find Reserves"
- Click on "Find E-Reserves"
- Click on the drop down box under "Search For" and choose "Instructor"
- Type in your instructor's name, then click on "Search." This will bring up a list of everything your instructor has on reserve, both print/hard copy and electronic.
- To view the electronic reserve items, click on the document link and type in your class password to access the item.
At this point you have two choices: (1) a list of classes you are teaching for the selected term will be drawn, and you can choose one of them or (2) you can enter a CRN directly, even if it is a course which you are not teaching. This is an important option for team teachers, as the Registrar's Office only records a primary instructor, so the secondary instructor would have to enter the CRN directly.
Can I view the list of items other instructors have put on E-Reserves?
Yes. Follow the instructions above (under the question "How can I view items I've put on E-Reserves?") using Docutek and enter the CRN for the class you are interested in.
