For Faculty and Staff
The library can help your students learn technology, research, and the process of writing and scholarship. We're set up to help you - take the frustration out of learning.
What Can We Teach?
Each of the following instruction sessions can be tailored to your particular needs. We support both group and one-on-one instruction. Classes may be held in the Interactive Reference Area, or anywhere in our library using our Mobile Classroom. Please make appointments well in advance - the more time we have, the better we can serve you.

What about CLIP?
The Composition Library Instruction Program (CLIP) is a portion of the Composition 101 class, taken by freshmen. A class led by a librarian in the Interactive Reference Area (IRA) of the library introduces students to how to locate a book, how to locate articles and ciations in general and subject-specific databases, and how a journal and magazine differ. Students complete a quiz to assess their knowledge of each of these areas.
You can find CLIP materials on their own page.
