For Students
Where's the Library?
The library is located on Prospect Terrace, between Cornish Hall and the water towers. You can find an Adobe Acrobat (PDF) map of the campus here. We are in Building 17. Our main entrance is across from Cornish Hall.
Where's My Class?
Most classes in the library are held in the Interactive Reference Area (IRA) on the second floor. Walk through the entrance hallway, then take the stairs on your right up one floor. Take a left. The IRA will be behind the shelves on your left.
If your class isn't there, double check the date and time to make sure you're in the right place. Some classes are held in our Mobile Classroom; ask at the reference desk (just across from the IRA) for help.
How Can I Find What I Need?
If you can't find where to answer a research question on our home page, we have a wide variety of ways you can get help. You can check our COR 101 Handout for finding books, send an email to a librarian, or stop in at the Reference Desk on the second floor.
Bear in mind that some questions may be easier than others, so give yourself plenty of time to conduct research. If others in your class are also having trouble with an assignment, please let us know so we can serve them as well.
How Can I Get Help with Software in the Library?
Some software may require training to use. Ask at the Reference Desk; if they cannot help, they can tell you who can. The Training Center also has online handouts to get you started with Microsoft Office and multimedia applications.
