Rules for using study carrels
- Library books must be checked out at the circulation desk if they are to be used in the carrel more than one day.
- Periodicals - Faculty using periodicals must sign them out at the periodicals desk. Students - Should not leave any periodicals in the study carrels.
- Items not signed out to the user will be removed from carrels. Library staff checks carrels during the semester.
- Please do not nail, tape, or otherwise attach objects to carrel walls, doors or windows.
- Please do not bring food or drink into carrels.
- If demand for carrels becomes heavy, it may be necessary to assign more than one person to each carrel. Users must then establish equitable hours of use.
- Carrel occupants are expected to observe all library hours and to leave when the library closes.
- If there is evidence that a person that is assigned a carrel is not complying with library rules they will loose carrel privileges.
- The library cannot be responsible for personal property left in carrels. We recommend that valuable property not be left in carrels.
- Keys must be returned at the end of each semester. There will be a $10.00 fee for any key not returned.
