Abstracts, Indexes, and Databases

The abstracts and indexes we have are listed in a printout in the index area. There are title, subject, and call number listings.) The following are all located in the Abstracts/Indexes area:

Compact disk databases (near reference desk)

  1. ERIC on CD-ROM: Indexes both documents and articles on education topics.
  2. PsycLIT on CD-ROM
  3. Social Sciences Index on CD-ROM
  4. Sport Discus
  5. Health Index

Online searching

The library has some 60 PC's and MAC's with access to the Internet.

Current Awareness

Much of this can now be done through online searching. Other sources are newsletters, periodicals, monographic series, proceedings, and yearbooks. Abstracting and indexing services can provide access to these materials by subject.)
